An independent structural assessment looks at issues that are central to whether or not your money is being managed properly.  It lays down structural parameters that a provider of financial services would need to address in their proposals.

While it would not tell an advisor how to manage security selection or asset allocation, it would tell an advisor that they need to be able to demonstrate how they will manage risk and return, how they will manage the risks to the ability of assets to meet financial needs and, ultimately why their approach is suitable to managing the client’s financial needs and assets in this context.

The TAMRIS Independent Structural AssessmentText Box:
service provides a detailed review of the major areas that an asset and wealth manager will need competence in to be able to offer effective wealth management services.

  • Performance analysis – this reviews an organisation’s portfolio performance in the context of their investment and portfolio construction disciplines and asset allocation strategy.

  • Asset & Liability modelling analysis*** – this analyses portfolio structure, its relationship with financial needs over time, its ability to meet financial needs as and when they arise and to manage significant risks to financial security. An organisation’s long term investment planning for the client (modelling and management of the ability of assets to meet needs over time) is reviewed as are the assumptions and disciplines used by the asset manager to model the interaction of assets and financial needs over time.

  • Risk assessment & profiling – TAMRIS educates and assesses the client’s attitude towards investment risks that affect the ability of assets to meet needs over time and the performance risks that affect the investment style and strategy most suited to the client.

  • Fees & charges analysis – this assesses the overall fee and charging structure relative to service quality, content and execution.  Basically, are you getting value for money and, if not, what should you do?

  • Integrated wealth management solutions – is your overall wealth management relationship being properly integrated and managed.
