Education ProcessTAMRIS is differentEducation SeriesThe Big Picture

Most investor concerns over markets, performance and risk are related to insufficient education and information at outset.

The TAMRIS “Education Objective” is to develop a basic framework and risk profile through which the individual can relate their preferences and knowledge to the key areas affecting the management of their assets to meet their financial needs over time.

TAMRIS provides an investor education series titled “Private Investor Building Blocks”.

  • TAMRIS believes that the more information the better, provided it is graduated in its delivery and structured. An organisation that is able to communicate its approach and educate the investor over time is more likely to be focussed towards the needs of the client.

  • TAMRIS believes the investor should control the asset management process through their risk and return preferences and their financial needs. The wealth manager should deliver the objective within the preference and financial profile.

  • The client should not be forced to learn through events and mistakes.

  • Education and communication between wealth manager and client should never stop. TAMRIS believes that education starts at a client’s first meeting, is developed in the initial investment planning report, supported by education material and reinforced at each investment planning review.

  • TAMRIS does not believe in delivering simple arguments which gloss over the realities of investment. It believes in explaining the fundamentals and the realities. Many of the problems within the financial services industry are related to the avoidance of fundamental investment issues.

  • The TAMRIS education process focuses on facts and structure and avoids opinions which are not solidly grounded in research, expertise and practise.
