Investment planning disciplines

InvestmentText Box:
planning disciplines are still in their infancy in the financial services market place.

Reasons for this include the division of responsibilities between asset management and financial planning, the limited development of modern portfolio theory in its application to the management of financial needs, the lack of expertise in the area, the legacy systems and processes used to manage wealth and lack of education and expertise amongst those responsible for managing financial needs.

Additionally, academia appears to be more focussed on esoteric aspects of investment than the most important challenge facing the financial services industry today.

Andrew Teasdale has applied and developed his expertise over three distinct stages of research, development and application of systems, processes and methodologies.

  • The development of investment planning software for the UK financial services market and the application of investment planning disciplines and early systems to private client wealth management. His early disciplines and models were reproduced in the investment planning section of the UK Institute of financial planning exams.

  • The development of integrated investment planning and asset management systems in the late 1990s and their application to the management of private client wealth.

  • The application of his systems, processes and methodology to internet wealth management and the universal application of his asset and liability management systems, processes and methodologies. Text Box:
